A Loving Tribute To Our Neighborhood Dog, Casey

Our good friends and neighbors, John and Jan Clark, recently lost their beloved toy poodle, Casey. Sweet Casey was a star among our neighborhood dogs just like his Mom and Dad are beloved neighbors, tireless community volunteers and friends.

Believe it or not, we featured John and Jan in our very first post in 2009 to thank them for taking pictures of me! John is a talented photographer and videographer, and he and Jan came over one snowy day to take pictures of yours truly for our debut magazine article. And we've used those wonderful photos ever since.

John and Jan put together an incredibly beautiful video as a tribute to Casey's equally beautiful life, and what this video demonstrates so well is what we've been trying to say on our blog for so many years: Pets are full members of your family and should be as fully integrated into your daily routines and your lives as possible. Casey surely was and always will be a full member of the Clark family.

Casey came to the Clark's as a seven month old pup, who didn't fit well in his current home...and the rest is forever part of our neighborhood lore. We hope you enjoy this short video that John and Jan put together in tribute of their beloved Casey.

P.S. If you want to learn more about our neighborhood known as "German Village", John Clark wrote a fantastic book, German Village Stories: Behind the Bricks.
