We're pleased to announce the lucky winner of the Boots & Barkley holiday-themed pet bowl and  treat jar on this New Year's Eve, courtesy of our friends at Target. As we look toward 2014, we'll be doing lots of giveaways, in addition to bringing you news about the shelter and rescue world and consistently promoting in every way we know how, the adoption and rescue of our companion animal friends. We also love bringing you news of the weird, wild and wacky goings on in the world of pets and their humans, and we're sure there will be lots of those stories in the coming year. Target Giveaway: Boots & Barkley Pet Bowl And Treat Jar!

Boots & Barkley Holiday-Themed Dog or Cat Bowl and Sophisticated Treat Jar

We're thrilled to be partnering with Target to bring you a nifty giveaway for your pooch or kitty! Target is one of our favorite places to shop for items across the spectrum: From printer ink, to pet products, to food and clothes, Parental Unit buys most everything at Target (including her lovely array of black sweatpants that she wears nonstop). One lucky winner will receive both the holiday-themed bowl and treat jar. Details to enter to win at the end of this post.

First, we'd like to tell you a little bit about the Boots & Barkley bowl and jar. This is not an official review, because we did not receive or use these products, but we did stop by one of our local Target stores to see them in person. Both the bowl and treat jar are made of ceramic, and the bowl is indeed, dishwasher safe. As you can see in the photo, the bowl is inscribed with the words "eat drink and be merry", a great recommendation any time of the year! And the treat jar comes with a "blackboard" label where you can write your pet's name or type of treat—great for multiple pet households.

We think that both of these items are simple and practical, yet festive enough to brighten any decor,  at any time of the year!
