Stray Dogs Around The World

                         Yes, we were both once strays!

We think these mini stories about stray dogs from across the globe, taken together, paint an interesting picture of their lives—even when those dogs have become beloved family members.

According to this recent article in The NewYork Times that provides the backdrop for these individual stories, there are about one billion dogs on the planet, and only 250 million of those are pets. The rest (a mere 750 million canines), are village dogs, street dogs, strays. And studying these stray dogs has revealed  a treasure of information about the true nature of canines.
