That "Clubby Feel" - Exclusively For Dogs

What's "Dog (not Doggy) Day Care" like in new York City's East Village? Well, as you might guess, it's a bit clubby. Although the owners are not screened to belong to The Ruff Club, a swanky dog day care and spa shown in the photo above, the dogs most certainly are. According to this article in today's New York Times, a canine seeking admission will be tested for socialization issues like toy and food aggression and the willingness to allow one of the club's handlers to put on a collar or take them for a walk. And canine members can't be too anxious, fearful or suffer from separation anxiety, "We want dogs to enjoy it here and if one is fearful and anxious it causes anxiety in others," says the club's owner.

Don't you wish clubs for humans screened their members for these criteria?

Now that is impressive. I love my dogs. I have two dogs but whenever I leave my home I really bother about them. If I could take them to my working place, I will do that for sure. I wish I could find something great place like this in my area. They really deserve it.
