Take Your Dog To Work Day...Is Tomorrow!

Does everyone know that Friday, June 24 is Take Your Dog to Work Day, sponsored by Pet Sitters International, Dog Fancy, and several other organizations? Of course, Parental Unit and I think this is a great idea, and as you've seen right here on Bocci's Beefs, I've made frequent visits to Parental Unit's place of employment, the Columbus College of Art and Design-remember the time I was asked to lecture to the grad students? Check it out here to refresh your memory: boccibeefs.blogspot.com/2010/10/has-grad-school-gone-to-dogs.html. And I will be stopping by tomorrow for a quick visit, even though Parental Unit is technically not working at the moment.

Just in case you're planning to bring your best buddy to work tomorrow, here's some "downloadable" tips for easing the transition from home to work that include: "Preparing Your Dog for the Office" and "Introducing Your Dog to New People and Pets", from the folks who came up with this fun idea. www.takeyourdog.com/Get-Involved. You know how we value preparation, which is key to having a good experience for both you and your dog, and...if you have a good first experience, you're much more likely to repeat it, right? Take it straight from me, we love joining you wherever you're headed, so why not invite us along tomorrow?

We'll leave you with this piece from the blog, Humane Nation, written by Wayne Pacelle, president of the Humane Society of the United States, that discusses the importance of this special day and even includes a guide to creating your own dog-friendly work place: hsus.typepad.com/wayne/2011/06/dog-days.html

Here I am last year, working away...

My mom works at home so I'm with her the whole day.

Now, I do think I need some outings!
