Another Young Person Helping Animals In Need

We read about this young man just this morning when we were perusing Cesar Millan's Weekly Newsletter, and thought it worthy of sharing. We always get inspired to do more to help our companion animals in need when we read about or listen to speakers who have actually done something to help, no matter how small. But we're particularly inspired when it's a young person who's leading the way for the next generation of animal rights activists. If you missed our post about Meg, our friend who asked for donations to the Humane Society of the United States in lieu of presents for her 12th birthday, enjoy it here:

Alex Sill is an 18 year old high school senior living in California, who chose to combine his passion for music with his desire to help animals for his senior project. And what resulted was a recent concert, dubbed "Music for Life" that raised $5,125- all of which was donated to The Valley Vet Non-Profit clinic in Simi, California, that offers no or low cost spay and neuter services.  You could say that Alex "comes by his empathy naturally" because he has long been influenced by his aunt, Kim Sill, who is the founder of a local animal advocacy group and who has worked closely with this vet clinic.

We'll leave you with this touching video that Alex put together to promote awareness of pet overpopulation.

Hi Y'all,

Great post! What novel ideas our young people come up with to help their favorite causes. So glad when it's animals that they have a passion to help. They are the helpless ones.

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
