Canine Conspiracy!

We wanted to pass on this hilarious article from the Arts Section of today's New York Times, titled; "There's a Canine Conspiracy! Television Reveals It!." The author claims that a review of the plethora of dog training/dog behaviorist/dog psychology shows on T.V. leads him to conclude that all of the 77.5 million dogs in the U.S. are just really bad. And he says, "All our dog experts seem to be tied up trying to fix this mess one televised dog at a time...".

Instead of watching today's dogs who have "dominance" problems or "anxiety, barking, and/or chewing problems" get cured on T.V, he longs for those dogs of the 1950's and 60's, like Lassie and Rin Tin Tin, who were a lot less pampered and a little more willing to, say, drag Timmy from a well without even being asked.

Me? I don't think I'll be dragging Parental Unit from a well anytime soon, but I can be a pretty good watchdog, when necessary. And I don't think I have any annoying behavior problems that need curing, or at least I don't think I do-you'll have to check with Parental Unit on that one.
But pampered....hehehe!
