Sunday's "Living With Your Pet" Tips: Decorate With Fido

Fabulous photo of me by John Clark of Clark Creative

We thought you'd enjoy a break from the usual pet care tips about health and safety (not that we don't want to keep our pets healthy and safe!), and enjoy these ideas from Martha Stewart on decorating your abode with your four-legged friends-literally. O.K., what we mean is hanging pictures of your pet in unexpected places in your home to add a bit of pizazz to your decor.

As you might expect, Martha (we think we can call her Martha by now, don't you?) provides specifics on how to choose the best photo, enlarge a photo and to what size, framing tricks, and links to quality business that can help. We know we'll use these tips-how about you?

Sunday's "Living With Your Pet" Tips: How To Be A "Green" Pet Owner

We think these eco-friendly, pet care tips from Martha Stewart are extremely thoughtful and practical-things we all can do to minimize our pets' impact on the planet. We especially like her recommendations to adopt a pet from a shelter or rescue and spay/neuter! And don't forget to use biodegradable or compostable bags to pick up your pets' waste-it's a huge help for the long-term health of our planet.

We hope you find these tips helpful and have a terrific first full day of autumn!

P.S. Stay tuned tomorrow for Parental Unit's very own documentation of a presidential visit-last Monday, President Barack Obama held a campaign rally in our very own German Village park-the very park where I chase squirrels! And yes, it does involve animals...just wait and see!
