We just saw this short article on Patrick's continuing recovery and thought we'd share the good news. Apparently, Patrick's caregivers have decided that his health is recovered sufficiently to dub today his "Re-Birth-day", complete with green balloons. They called it "a celebration of survival, recovery, and the start of his new life." As we all know by now, Patrick was found exactly one month ago in a trash bin just hours from death. We say, "hurray" for Patrick, and a hearty "thank you" to the sanitation worker who rescued him, and the caregivers who will continue to nurture him back to optimal health! Meanwhile, back at the ranch (I mean our house), we had some fun visitors this weekend-Parental Unit's good friend from grade school came in to celebrate her sister's birthday. Of course, I just had to get in on the action. I look thrilled in this picture, don't I? (Big-ify photo for more comical effect).
And here's a picture of the birthday girl's rescued Lhasa Apso, Sparkey. He's a 12 year old firebrand looking shockingly innocent in this photo.
