DogTime Media's Adoptable Animal Finder: Adoptable Dog And Cat Of The Week!

As we've mentioned for the last few weeks, the fine folks at DogTime Media are trying even harder than usual to get dogs and cats get adopted from shelters and rescues, so they've reached out to bloggers that belong to their network to help spread the good word. So here we go with our fifth week's featured dog...

What a handsome fella! Apparently, Rango has that large head characteristic of a Staffordshire Terrier and the short legs and long body of a Basset Hound. But no matter his mix, all he wants to do is share his sweetness! Rango currently resides in Waynesville, North Carolina. And this week's featured cat...

Emilia is a sweetheart who likes to be petted, and is slowly becoming an affectionate kitty. She may need a room of her own in her new forever home, but just until she gets used to her new surroundings. Emilia currently lives in North Attleboro, MA.

Molly is currently residing with a foster parent while she finishes her Heart Worm treatment, and will be available for adoption in Landenberg, PA on December 15th, 2012. Molly has a sweet personality and loves to prance around with a stuffed toy in her mouth! She's house trained and gets along well with children, dogs and cats. What more could you want?!

This beautiful boy is a lover of laps and seems to purr nonstop whenever he's with a human. Look at those golden eyes and sleek black coat! How could you resist? Mogli currently lives in Little Rock, Arkansas, with Little Rock Animal Services.

Hershey's Kiss is a 2-3 year old Chocolate and White Cocker Spaniel who lives up to her name: she loves to smother you with kisses! And look at those big brown eyes! She's equally happy romping in the yard or cuddling in your lap. She also walks well on a leash and plays nicely with other dogs and cats. She does tend to wet when she gets excited and  occasionally chews items other than her toys, but she's a quick learner! 
Hershey's Kiss currently resides in a foster home in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.

This sweet orange tabby (who's has the perfect name for a Thanksgiving adoption!) is only nine months old, litter trained and loves to play! In fact, her dream is to find a forever home with lots of toys so she can play all day long. She currently resides in Oakland Park, Florida.

Kia is a Parvo survivor and a real people person, 'er, dog! She loves to cuddle! Ki is currently doing well in a foster home with another dog and kitty, but it's recommended that she be introduced to any resident dogs in her potential forever home through a formal meet and greet. Three cheers for Kia!

Have you ever seen such gorgeous eyes? Poor Smoki is a bit confused and timid right now-she's lived exclusively as an indoor cat with one owner, but he was not able to take her with his most recent move. Smoki doesn't seem to particularly like other cats and dogs, so she will probably do best in a home with adults and as an only pet.  We hope you'll consider giving this gal her forever home!

Buddy is a a three year old male sheltie who is extremely loving and will love to sit on your lap and nudge you with his nose to get petted! He's also housebroken and knows lots of tricks.
