The look on my face mercifully convinced Parental Unit to permanently ditch the Halloween costume idea.
But we realize that some dogs (and even cats) might not mind the occasional article of clothing, just dress your furry friends with care and check out these no nonsense Halloween safety tips from the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Of course, keep that Halloween candy and other treats safely stored away from all prying paws, and make sure all of your pets are indoors before twilight. If you're having a party at your house, you may want to keep your pets in a separate room, so they won't be frightened by your costumed friends or slip out an opened door.
