PetSmart's Haloween In-Store Bash Is This Saturday: Bring Your Dog For A Howlin' Good Time!

Do you have your pet's Halloween costume yet? We got ours early this year, courtesy of our good friends at PetSmart, who have tons of pet costumes for every size pooch or kitty. Your pet can instantly be a Marvel superhero, Disney character or a Martha Stewart spooky maven, and will surely be the hit of any Halloween party...or just the master of his own backyard, as you'll see below.

But hurry: All Halloween pet costumes are on sale only through tomorrow, October 15 - and there's free shipping with no minimum purchase!

And there's even more spooktacular fun involved if you dress up your pet and head over to your local PetSmart store this Saturday, October 19th between 9 and 11 am. The first 10 pets in costume in each store will receive a limited edition Brett Michaels plush dog toy. And the first 50 pets in costume at each store will receive free treats (courtesy of Dentastix and Temptations) and a coupon for a Brett Michaels toy purchase!

But wait, there's even more fun and opportunity to win at your local PetSmart. Why not enter PetSmart's "Monster Cute Facebook Photo Contest"?  There are different categories and a whole array of prizes, including a whopping $10,000 grand prize!

And you'll also receive a free Halloween bandanna with any grooming service on October 19th-cool!

We received this stylish, yet kinda macho costume from PetSmart, per our specific request. Parental Unit knows that I don't particularly like anything on my head or paws, and she certainly prefers basic black, particularly for any holiday. The costume is made of polyester and cotton, is very soft and slightly padded as you can see,  and can be easily washed in cold water.

And I must admit, it made me feel extra protective of my yard!

Does it make my butt look fat?

Here's what it looks like from the front.

Note: If you're going to order this costume, err on the side of larger rather than smaller.. My measurements qualify my for a size Large, and although it fits, it was quite snug.

The generous folks at PetSmart also included two plush toys for me, both from Martha Stewart's latest collection, sold exclusively at PetSmart. They're specifically designed for dogs who aren't particularly destructive of their toys, like me: "For dogs who simply love a cuddly companion, a soft snugly toy can keep them company and help alleviate separation anxiety." We agree!

In addition to being super soft and cuddly, they have a delicate squeak when squeezed... Aren't they adorable? Don't tell anyone, but Parental Unit may snuggle with my new green and purple friend (when no one's looking) to relieve her anxiety...

It may look like I'm playing rough in these photos, but I only mouth my toys and don't chew-I just like to fetch and shake 'em up a bit.

A bit of a blurry "action shot"-I do love to play fetch!

A hearty thanks to the good folks at PetSmart for our Halloween costume and toys! The opinions expressed in this post are 100% our own! We hope you choose to start your Halloween festivities early by visiting your local PetSmart store this Saturday, October 19th-don't miss it!
