A Sweet, Middle-Aged Dog In Need Of A New Home!

We received a message yesterday from a professor at the college where Parental Unit teaches, asking his friends to help him find a home for a family members' dog. The family member is now too elderly and ill to remain in his home or to care for his beloved dog, Gidget. We bet you'll agree that her sweetness comes through in these photos-she looks like a cuddly teddy bear!

Here's some information about Gidget: she's a black, medium-haired mixed breed about seven years young, and has been spayed. She's housebroken, of course, and very friendly. She's just a tad chubby for want of exercise, and needs some extra attention and exercise, at least for now, to get her back to her svelte and happy doggie self! The professor thinks she might be a good fit for a home with children. He'll be taking her to the vet for a complete check-up and to the groomer for a bit of a trim, so Gidget will be all ready to hang out with her new family!

Please contact me or Parental Unit directly if you're interested in giving this dear girl her forever home. And even if that can't be managed, please take a second to forward this link to folks you think might be interested. She's currently living in Columbus, Ohio, and probably would prefer a home somewhat close to here, but I'll pass on any interest to our friend, the professor.

As always, many thanks for your help and support.
