Humane Society On The Ground And Saving Pets Lives

While east coast residents struggle to rebuild their lives this week in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, the Humane Society of the United States dispatched their animal rescue teams to remove displaced companion animals to safe havens.
Take a minute to watch the video below to see their good work in action in North Carolina. You can also get their up-to-the-minute dispatches from the field right here:  http://www.humanesociety.org/news/dispatch/2011/08/irene_fieldnotes_4_08312011.html  and by following them on Twitter at@HumaneSociety.

And if you want to support this type of disaster relief work, like we do, you can donate to the Humane Society of the United State's Disaster Relief Fund by visiting their website here: https://secure.humanesociety.org/site/Donation2?df_id=7300&7300.donation=form1&s_src=bo7300 or by texting LOVE to 20222 to donate $10, as the HSUS works to help pets affected by Hurricane Irene.

As always, thanks so much for your support!
