Speaking Of David Sedaris...

One of our favorite shows, CBS Sunday Morning, did a profile piece of the wonderful David Sedaris, (author of Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk) just this morning, and we thought we'd pass it on to you.
You'll see in this segment that one of the people standing in line at a Sedaris book signing expressed our sentiments exactly-she wished that "he was her best friend". Ditto!

I have read a few of his books and I think he has a wonderful sense of humor. I am ashamed to admit it but I have not purchased his latest book as of yet but since you and many other friends have raved about it I will be purchasing it soon!
I appreciate your questions about administering raw dog bones to dogs and I answered your question on my blog but to save you time I will tell you that you can give your dog a bone as often as you'd like and usually the 1st "session" lasts for 30 minutes at the least because the bone will be a novelty to Bocci at first sniff. I recommend knuckle bones or the small marrow bones that can be purchased for cheap at the butcher's counter/aisle. Knuckle bones are a bit softer (but still hard enough) than the others so that's why I recommend them. Also, DO NOT COOK THE BONES as the bones as the softness makes them easy to swallow. I will be posting more details about dog bones tomorrow so stay tuned!
