PetPeople - A Great Store!

If you live anywhere in Ohio and haven't heard about this great store...and want to win a Free Food Voucher for a 20 lb bag of pet food...keep reading!

Parental Unit discovered PetPeople by accident about eight or nine years ago and has been shopping there ever since. You just can't help but be impressed-the stores are, of course, sparkling clean and super well-organized, but the best part are the salespeople: they are all specially trained in dog nutrition and are knowledgeable about all their products-something you'd expect, but don't always get, in a pet store. They even provide detailed pamphlets on pet nutrition for your reading pleasure.
In fact, the day Parental Unit picked me up from the pound, she went to PetPeople first to by food and all my other supplies! Here's the best part: they only sell the higher quality, premium brands of pet food, including several varieties of frozen raw food. So you can be sure that whatever food you chose from Pet People, you're getting the highest quality!
Here's the link to their website: www.petpeoplestores.com

I am thrilled to introduce one of PetPeople's long-time employees, Barbara Stancel, who graciously agreed to write a guest post for my blog. Get this: at Barbara's recent wedding, there was an entire table of PetPeople customers - now that's customer loyalty! And it shows you how warm and friendly it feels to shop at PetPeople.
Now without further adieu, here's Barbara:

For those of you who aren’t familiar with us, welcome to PetPeople!  We are a locally owned pet supply store with eight Columbus locations.  We understand that pet parents want the healthiest food and best products possible for their beloved pets – because we do to!
Shop Local
PetPeople Ohio began in 1997, when a small California chain opened three stores in Columbus, Ohio.  Upper Arlington residents Mike and Trish Elkind bought these three stores and started their own local business.  Since then, we have expanded to 10 stores – eight in Columbus, one in Cincinnati, and one in Cleveland.  Their vision has turned PetPeople into the local neighborhood headquarters for everything you need for your pet – from tough toys, to fashionable collars, to wholesome, natural pet foods.
Who We Are
The name says it all- we truly are Pet People.  Our employees love their pets, and they share that passion with our customers.  Buying a birthday present for your dog?  We get it.  Want to feed the best food possible to make sure your pet lives a long, healthy life?  We really get that!  Our associates go through significant training on dog and cat nutrition – the pet industry is always changing, and we work hard to stay up to date on the best products for your beloved companions.  Does your cat throw up frequently?  Is your dog itchy all the time?  We’d love to see if a food we have can make a difference. We hope you find PetPeople customer service above and beyond your expectations!  Hate carrying that heavy cat litter or 40 lb bag of dog food?  We’ll get that for you too.

Giving Back
PetPeople is committed to supporting local animal related charities.  We do not sell dogs and cats, instead choosing to support adoption to help end pet overpopulation.  Through food donations, adoption events, fundraisers, and financial contributions, we enjoy educating the community about the importance of shelters and rescue groups.
Come Visit!
We would love for you to come visit one of our stores and see what we’re all about.  In the store, you can sign up for our PetPeeps loyalty program (it’s free!) for discounts and promotions.  Stop by one of our locations, found at
Bring your leashed pets with you, and meet our store mascots too!  But don’t bother asking for Barbara, Gretchen, or Sarah – you’re better off asking for Colby, Chessa, or Gabby’s mom!  Because our pets are our kids, and we’d love the chance to meet and spoil yours too…
Here's the give-a-way: Parental Unit has in her hot little hand a Pet People "free food voucher" good for a free 20 pound bag of your pet's favorite food.

Here's how I'll pick the winner: It will be the first person to comment on this post who lives in Ohio! So to all my friends who live across the U.S. and for that matter, around the world, please feel free to comment, but only an Ohio resident can win this generous voucher! I know I've got lots of followers and regulars from Ohio, so here's your chance to win! I will mail the voucher myself to the lucky winner (my best buddy is our mail carrier, Ed, so no problem there!)

As always, thanks for your support!

I live in Ohio!

Bocci said...

Hey Lisa from Steubenville-that's my Parental Unit's hometown and you're my first ever hit from Steubenville...we think! So congrats on that!

I did say that the first comment from Ohio would win, ...but I was thinking about someone living in the burbs surrounding Columbus, Cinn. and Cleveland, who could easily make it to Pet People...

*And to anonymous: If you're from Newwark, Ohio which is just outside of Columbus, then you are th official winner. ( I thought that might be the case given the time of your post and use of my stat counter:-)

But, so my readers know this is legit, could you please post another comment with at least your first name and where in Ohio you live?
You can then send me your snail mail address to my e-mail which is published at bottom of the blog!-no one else will see it!
P.S. The coupon is good through December of this year...
