Sunday's "Living With Your Pet Tips": Fall Care Guide For You And Your Pets

                                    Fall is in the air!

And these autumnal pet care and pet safety tips from Better Homes and Gardens, complete with adorable slide show, will help you and your furkids be prepared for anything this gorgeous season brings your way. This Tuesday, September 23rd is the Autumn equinox, so these tips are quite timely.
(It also happens to be Bruce Springsteen's 65th birthday, but perhaps that's for another post...or another blog!)

It never hurts to be reminded that back-to-school supplies, like markers and glue, are toxic to pets, and that you should remind your kids to keep their supplies stored safely away from Rover's reach (think open book bags on the floor). And if you're the decorating kind, make sure your pets are either trained not to touch your festive creations or such temptations are out of reach.

I've had a few digestive troubles lately, so Parental Unit has been mixing a teaspoon or so of that autumn staple, pumpkin, in my regular food, and to her and my relief, it's worked wonders. And it's delicious and full of vitamins, too!

What fall pet care or safety strategies have worked for you? Let us know!
